Rebranding: The American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (AFIPO) are the financial backbone of the world-class Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO). They help support and enable the IPO to continue to share the gift of music with people around the world.

This logo was inspired by traditional Jewish values and heritage, as well as the rhythmic qualities of music.

The varying stoke weights in the menorah are influenced by the way in which Hebrew writing is structured by thin vertical strokes that contrast well with thick horizontal stokes.

The menorah is built with four nesting curves that communicate feelings of community, openness and warmth.

The lavender color is Inspired by tekhelet dye and the variety of hues achieved by the dyeing process.

The paired typeface, Minerva Modern, shares similar shapes and forms to the logomark and together, they create an elegant expression of music and Jewish culture.
